Summary, etc. |
520 8# - SUMMARY, ETC. |
Summary, etc. |
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair is subject to discussion and controversy. Classically, the use of single tunnel pexy has been defended. In recent years, some authors have proposed a bifascicular technique with two tunnels to better reproduce the anatomy of the ACL, with a view to securing improved control of joint stability.
However, to date no clinical studies have demonstrated the superiority of one technique over the other. Such studies are difficult to carry out and evaluate; as a result, simple plasties are adequate and should not be discarded unless there are indications otherwise. |
