Summary: -Introduction: Arterial Pressure (PA) is one of the biological variables most often monitored by nurses throughout their professional life. - Objective: to determine whether there is a correlation between the PA figures measured directly through an invasive method and the PA figures measured with a sphygmomanometer. - Method: prospective study carried out in the Hemodynamics room of the Hospital de Cabueñes (HUCA), with a sample of 100 patients who came to perform a cardiac catheterization. A direct measure of PA was obtained using a 6F catheter in right radial artery and a second measurement with an automatic sphygmomanometer. - Result: the mean of systolic PA obtained invasively is higher than that obtained with the automatic sphygmomanometer. - Conclusions: accurate blood pressure measurement is important as it will avoid both false negatives and false positives. Knowing the accuracy of the devices we usually use is vitally important.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Notes | Date due | Barcode |
