Es en el hogar donde existen mayores posibilidades de que sucedan accidentes de cualquier tipo, al ser el lugar donde pasan la mayor parte de las horas del día los adultos mayores. Es importante señalar que un porcentaje muy elevado de accidentes domésticos podrían evitarse con facilidad si se tomaran las precauciones debidas. El objetivo principal es abordar cómo prevenir los principales accidentes domésticos en los ancianos: las caídas, las quemaduras, las intoxicaciones y la prevención de incendios.Summary: Domestic accidents occur more frequently in the elderly, and can have serious consequences for the health of those who suffer from them. It is in the home where there are greater chances of accidents of any kind happening, as it is the place where most of the day's time is spent by older adults. It is important to note that a very high percentage of domestic accidents could be easily avoided if proper precautions were taken. The main objective is to address how to prevent the main domestic accidents in the elderly: falls, burns, poisoning and fire prevention.
