Los fisioterapeutas que, gracias a su formación académica, están capacitados para realizar labores de valoración del daño corporal a nivel del sistema músculo-esquelético, deben conocer y estar familiarizados con el concepto de daño, con la regulación que el código civil hace de los derechos y obligaciones que las personas tienen respecto a la causa de daños y al resarcimiento de sus secuelas, así como de los diferentes baremos que se usan en la labor de peritación de daños. Por último deben conocerse también las líneas generales a seguir a la hora de redactar un informe de VDC.Summary: The following article demostrates how the features of everyday life and work provoke accidents that oblige society to create procedures to assess the injuries caused by these traumatic events and to compensate those harmed. Physiotherapists, because of their academic training, are authorized to carry out assessment of the muscular-skeletal system. They must know and be familiar with the concept of injury, with the regulations of the civil code regarding the rights and obligations the person has in respect to the cause of the injury and the various criteria used by the injury assessor to assess compensation. Lastly, they must also know the guideliness to follow in the completion of an injury assessment report.
