Introducción: Se estima que un 28% de los pacientes diagnosticados de TLP sufren, además, BN. Ambos diagnósticos comparten sintomatología clave como es la impulsividad o la labilidad emocional. Esta comorbilidad patológica aumenta la dificultad en la evaluación, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de los pacientes que la sufren. La existencia de estas dos enfermedades desemboca en un peor pronóstico para la persona, debido al delicado manejo que conlleva. Los objetivos del trabajo son explicar la comorbilidad diagnóstica que se expone y sus principales abordajes enfermeros.<br/>Material y método: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica desde Octubre del 2014 hasta Marzo del 2015, utilizando las principales bases de datos informatizadas. Se extrajeron diferentes estudios y libros que abordaban la temática, así como guías de práctica clínicas que respondían a los objetivos del trabajo.<br/>Resultados: Se encontraron artículos que explicaban la comorbilidad basándose en la igualdad de síntomas entre ambas patologías, así como otros que exponían que la BN era una consecuencia del TLP y viceversa. En cuanto al abordaje enfermero se obtuvieron diferentes estudios que objetivaban la necesidad de formación al profesional y basaban sus objetivos en la reeducación del paciente y control del riesgo autolesivo.<br/>Conclusiones: La comorbilidad diagnóstica se puede entender de diferentes maneras: siendo el TLP una consecuencia de la BN, siendo la BN una consecuencia del TLP o dándose ambas por separado debido a que comparten numerosa sintomatología. Los cuidados de enfermería deben ir enfocados a la reestructuración cognitiva del paciente, trabajando de manera multidisciplinar y educando en la salud con el fin de prevenir riesgos y evitar daños<br/> |

Introduction: It’s estimated that 28% of patients diagnosed with BPD suffer further BN. Both share key diagnostic symptoms such as impulsivity or emotional lability. This pathological comorbidity increases the difficulty in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients who suffer it. The existence of these two diseases leads to a worse prognosis for the person due to the delicate handling involved. The objectives of the study are to explain how the diagnostic comorbidity is exposed and its main nursing approaches.<br/><br/>Methods: A literature review was conducted from October 2014 to March 2015, using major computerized databases. Different studies and books which addressed the topic were extracted and clinical guidelines that meet the objectives of the work.<br/><br/>Results: articles explaining the comorbidity based on equality between the two diseases symptoms were found and others exposed to the BN was a consequence of TLP and vice versa. Regarding the management of nursing studies objectified different training needs and professional goals based on the rehabilitation of the patient and control risk of self-harm they were obtained.<br/><br/>Conclusions: The diagnostic comorbidity can be understood in different ways: BPD being a consequence of the BN, BN being a consequence of BPD or taking both separately because they share numerous symptoms. Nursing should be focused on cognitive restructuring of the patient, working in a multidisciplinary way and educating health in order to prevent risks and avoid damage<br/> |
