Objetivo: describir los comportamientos de cuidado humanizado de los estudiantes de la Universidad La Salle de Cancún (México) al final de su licenciatura en Enfermería. Así mismo, se evaluó la identificación, como tales, de las asignaturas de corte humanista cursadas durante su formación.<br/><br/>Metodología: estudio descriptivo transversal (abril de 2019). Se incluyó a los 44 estudiantes de último semestre. Se midieron variables sociodemográficas, la identificación de asignaturas humanistas y los comportamientos de cuidados autoinformados a través de la escala de Evaluación de Comportamiento de Cuidado Otorgado por Enfermería (ECCOE). Se realizaron índices de estadística descriptiva.<br/><br/>Resultados: participaron los 44 estudiantes (86,4% mujeres; 95,5% entre 21 y 25 años). La puntuación media de la ECCOE fue de 288,9 (DE 19,7). La subescala mejor calificada fue la de “Asistencia a las necesidades humanas” con 42 sobre 45 puntos y la de menor puntuación fue la subescala de “Expresión de sentimientos” con 17,8 sobre 20 puntos. El 97,7% identificó haber cursado asignaturas humanistas. Como máximo nombraron tres de las ocho que contribuyen al perfil humanista (11,4% de los estudiantes).<br/><br/>Conclusión: el 100% del alumnado tiene una alta percepción de comportamientos de cuidado otorgado, es posible que exista relación entre el proceso formativo centrado en una educación integral con la importancia que dan al cuidado humanizado. La identificación de asignaturas de corte humanista cursadas es baja. |

Objective: to describe the Humanized Care behaviours among students from the Universidad La Salle of Cancun (Mexico) at the end of their Nursing degree. There was also an assessment of the identification as such of those humanistic subjects taken during their training.<br/><br/>Methodology: a descriptive cross-sectional study (April, 2019), including the 44 students of the last semester. Sociodemographic variables were measured, as well as the identification of humanistic subjects, and the self-reported caring behaviors through the Nursing Care Assessment Scale (NCAS). Descriptive statistical indexes were conducted.<br/><br/>Results: all 44 students participated in the study (86.4% were female; 95.5% between 21 and 25-year-old). The mean NCAS score was 288.9 (SD 19.7). The best rated sub-scale was “Addressing human needs”, with 42 out of 45 points; and the sub-scale with the lowest score was “Expression of feelings”, with 17.8 out of 20 points; 97.7% of the participants acknowledged that they had studied humanistic subjects, and the maximum they could name were three out of the eight that contribute to the humanistic profile (11.4% of the students).<br/><br/>Conclusion: all students (100%) had a high perception of the caring behaviours offered; there was a potential association between the training process focused on comprehensive education and the importance given to humanized care. There was a low identification of humanistic subjects. |
