Introducción y objetivos: Los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria se definen como uno de los trastornos mentales más importantes del mundo. La prevalencia está en continuo crecimiento y se extiende en edades cada vez más tempranas. Esto se debe a la necesidad de aprobación externa, baja autoestima e imposición de cánones de belleza inalcanzables e irreales. Estos trastornos pueden tener un papel fundamental en etapas señaladas como es el embarazo. Este estudio tiene como objetivo conocer la influencia de los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria sobre el embarazo estudiando las posibles complicaciones maternofiliales.<br/>Material y método: Se llevó a cabo mediante una revisión bibliográfica en las basesde datos científicas Medline (PubMed), Science Direct y Cinahl, en relación a los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria y el embarazo, con la finalidad de desarrollar los<br/>objetivos planteados.<br/>Resultados: Siguiendo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se obtuvieron 15 artículos, los cuales se agruparon según las variables estudiadas: resultados adversos maternos, bajo peso al nacer y pequeño para la edad gestacional y complicaciones en el parto.<br/>Conclusiones: El papel de los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria durante la gestación representa una gran influencia a la hora de sufrir complicaciones tanto para la madre como para el hijo. Las que han tenido mayor representación en el<br/>estudio han sido los resultados adversos maternos como la hiperémesis, ganancia de peso gestacional, depresión y ansiedad. En cuanto a complicaciones en el bebé, bajo peso al nacer, pequeño para la edad gestacional y parto prematuro. Existen variaciones según el tipo de trastorno de la conducta alimentaria que sufre cada mujer.<br/> |

Introduction and objectives: Eating disorders are defined as one of the most important mental disorders in the world. Prevalence is constantly growing and spreads at ever earlier ages. This is due to the need for external approval, low selfesteem, imposition of unattainable and unrealistic beauty charges etc. These disorders can play a key role in stages such as pregnancy. This study aims to know the influence of eating disorders on pregnancy by studying possible maternal and environmental complications.<br/>Material and method: It was carried out through a bibliographic review in thescientific databases Medline (PubMed), Science Direct and Cinahl, in relation to disorders of eating behavior and pregnancy, in order to develop the objectives set.<br/>Results: Following the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, 15 articles were obtained, which were grouped according to the variables studied: maternal adverse results, low birth weight and small for gestational age and complications in childbirth.<br/>Conclusions: The role of eating disorders during pregnancy is a major influence on complications for both mother and child. The ones that have had the most representation in the study have been maternal adverse outcomes such as hyperemesis, gestational weight gain, depression and anxiety. As for complicationsin the baby, low birth weight, small for gestational age, premature delivery etc. There are variations depending on the type of eating behavior disorder each woman suffers from. |
