La Valoración de Daño Corporal puede ser un instrumentoeficaz, desde la perspectiva de la prevención, al facilitar eldesarrollo de la función pericial del Médico del Trabajo.Con esta función es posible determinar la incapacidad yresarcimiento tras accidente de trabajo o enfermedad pro-fesional, pero también conocer el grado de adaptación deltrabajador al puesto de trabajo.En este artículo se realiza una puesta al día del conceptode Valoración de Daño y del uso de baremos, planteandosu necesaria evolución para que en el contexto de laSalud Laboral el Médico del Trabajo encuentre un apoyoobjetivo en la toma de decisiones relacionadas con lacapacidad de trabajo.Con la finalidad de conseguir la mejora en el ambientelaboral y la protección de la salud del trabajador, elabora-mos una propuesta de sistemática de trabajo en un pro-cedimiento de reubicación y definimos criterios para unbaremo orientativo en caso de patología musculoesquelé-tica localizada en extremidad superior que permita objeti-var si la capacidad funcional de un trabajador es adecua-da a los requisitos ergonómicos de su puesto de trabajo |

From an Occupational Health perspective, objective met-hods for assessment of physical restrictions can be avery helpful tool to Occupational physicians for legalreports. These tools make possible to establish levels ofrestrictions and compensations after work related acci-dents or occupational illnesses, but they also make pos-sible to know degree of adaptation between the emplo-yee and the job.In this paper, the authors make an update of the assess-ment of physical restrictions concept and the use of scoretables, and the need of deeper research on them, to pro-vide occupational physicians with an objective support tomake decisions about employees working capability.In order to get a better working atmosphere and to protectworkers health, the authors make a proposal for a rehabili-tation procedure and define criteria for a score table forupper extremity musculo-eskeletal disorders to allow occu-pational physicians to make objective assessments aboutemployees functional capabilities and ergonomic demandsat job stations. |
