• Introducción: Los estudios bibliométricos se han convertido en un importante eslabón en el proceso de investigación para analizar<br/>producción científica enfermera. El objetivo principal de este estudio consistió en analizar la producción científica publicada en la<br/>revista Enfermería en Cardiología durante el periodo 1994-2014, considerando diversos indicadores bibliométricos.<br/>• Material y método: Se analizó la distribución de la revista Enfermería en Cardiología por años de publicación, instituciones,<br/>CCAA, países, idiomas, palabras clave, así como la productividad de autores y tasa de colaboración entre autores, instituciones,<br/>CCAA y países. Se estudiaron 619 artículos, de los cuales 272 artículos estuvieron relacionados con congresos y 347 fueron<br/>artículos de carácter científico.<br/>• Resultados: La media de artículos científicos por números publicados es de 10, con una estimación de 4 autores por artículo.<br/>La tipología documental más frecuentes son los estudios descriptivos, los casos clínicos, los protocolos y pautas de actuación.<br/>Entre los artículos científicos se detectaron 152 instituciones diferentes. En los artículos relacionados con congresos destaca la<br/>diferenciación de las comunicaciones tipo caso clínico.<br/>• Conclusiones: Destaca la consolidación de la revista Enfermería en Cardiología en el tiempo, un aumento relativo de la calidad<br/>de las publicaciones científicas contenidas en la misma, una gran tasa de participación entre autores pero un bajo índice de<br/>contribución internacional. La revista publica generalmente artículos de un carácter cuantitativo y presenta una inclinación<br/>práctica al englobar casos clínicos y protocolos y pautas de actuación. |

• Introduction: Bibliometric studies have become an important link in the research process for analyzing nursing scientific output.<br/>The main objective of this study consisted of analyzing the scientific output published in the journal Enfermería en Cardiología<br/>during the period 1994-2014 considering various bibliometric indicators.<br/>• Methodology: We analyzed the distribution of the journal Enfermería en Cardiología according to years of publication, institutions,<br/>autonomous communities, countries, language and keywords, as well as the authors’ productivity and the collaboration rate<br/>among authors, institutions, autonomous communities and countries. 619 articles were studied, out of which 272 were related to<br/>congresses and 347 were scientific articles.<br/>• Results: The average of scientific articles per published issue is 10, with an estimate of 4 authors per article. The most frequent<br/>documentary types are the descriptive studies, the clinical case reports and the action protocols and guidelines. Among the<br/>scientific articles, 152 different institutions were detected. In the congress-related articles, the differentiation of case report-type<br/>communications stands out.<br/>• Conclusions: The consolidation of the journal Enfermería en Cardiología over time, a relative increase in quality of the scientific<br/>publications contained therein and a high participation rate among authors stand out, although with a low rate of international <br/>contribution. The journal publishes in general articles which are quantitative in nature, and it presents a practical tendency, as it<br/>encompasses case reports and action protocols and guidelines. |
