Aunque la ergonomía, como ciencia del trabajo, surgió y se desarrolló en el ámbito laboral, buscando optimizar la organización del trabajo y el aumento de la productividad, posteriormente, con criterios enmarcados en el bienestar social, ha evolucionado con la finalidad de conseguir que los trabajadores se encuentren satisfechos con sus actividades laborales. Su desarrollo ha sido tan extraordinario, que su objeto estudio se ha ampliado, interesándose no sólo por la persona en su relación con el trabajo, sino también en relación con otras actividades, no laborales, que se llevan a cabo diariamente, originando una ergonomía de la actividad. En este artículo, tras efectuar una aproximación histórica a la ergonomía, se revisan algunas de sus principales clasificaciones, así como de sus ámbitos de aplicación más destacados. |

Although ergonomics, as a science applied to work, arose and was development in the area of labour, searching for optimizing the organization of work and for increasing the productivity, later on, with criteria framed in the social welfare, has evolved with the purpose of getting the workers to be satisfied with their labor activities. Its development has been so extraordinary that its object of study has been enlarged, being interested not only in the person and his/her relationship with work, but also in connection with other activities not related to work, that are carried out daily, originating the ergonomics of the activity. In this article, after making a historical approach to ergonomics, some of its main classifications are revised, as well as its most outstanding areas of application. |
