Se estudia en un caso con lesión medular el efecto de la inclusión de un protocolo de terapia Vojta en el programa de fisioterapia. Se trata de un paciente lesionado medular incompleto C3-C6, ASIA C, que inicia el estudio seis meses post-lesión. Se evalúan las escalas ASIA, Wisci II y Barthel, realizando además estudio urodinámico y espirometría. Los resultados tras el estudio muestran una progresión en la escala ASIA de «C» a «D». El estudio urodinámico mejora la capacidad de llenado un 119% con micción compensada. La función respiratoria incrementa un 10% de capacidad vital forzada y un 55% el flujo espiratorio máximo (25%-75%). La marcha evoluciona de 0 a 17/20 (Wisci II) y la funcionalidad pasa de 0 a 35 puntos (Barthel). En el caso estudiado la combinación de ambas terapias se ha traducido en una notable aceleración del proceso de rehabilitación en todas las variables evaluadas. |

To analyze the effects of inclusion within a Vojta Therapy protocol in the physiotherapy program of a case with a spinal cord injury. A Patient with 6-month old C3-C6 incomplete spinal cord injury, ASIA Scale C. The ASIA Scale sensory-motor assessment, the Walking Index for Spinal Cord Injury, version 2 (Wisci II) Scale for gait analysis and Barthel Scale for functionality were evaluated, also performing an urodynamic and spirometrics study. The results after the study show progression on the ASIA Scale improvements from the C to D levels. The urodynamic study showed improvement of bladder filling in 119% with compensated micturation. Respiratory function increased by 10% forced vital capacity and 55% forced expiratory flowing (25%-75%). Gait improved from 0 to 17/20 on the Wisci II Scale and functiohnality went from 0 to 35 points on the Barthel Scale. In the case cased, the combination of both therapies has been translated into a significant acceleration of the rehabilitation process in all the variables measured. |
