Fisioterapia de atención primaria. Estudio analítico de cargas de trabajo = Physiotherapy of primary care. Analytical study of work loads /

Según datos publicados en las memorias anuales del Instituto Nacional de la Salud, en los últimos 6 años, el indicador de cobertura del Servicio "Tratamientos Fisioterapéuticos Básicos" se ha incrementado desde el 4,3 % (año1995) al 9,4 % (año 2000).
En este aumento ha tenido una importancia fundamental que la ratio de personas/año atendidas por fisioterapeuta ha pasado de 281 (año 1995) a 450 (año 2000) sufriendo un incremento del 60,1%. Los objetivos de este estudio son:
1.
Analizar si esta carga de trabajo es asumible por un profesional, ofreciendo unas condiciones adecuadas de calidad en la prestación del servicio.
2.
Valorar la influencia que puedan ejercer factores demográficos (sexo y edad) sobre el tiempo a dedicar a cada paciente.
3.
Valorar las diferencias que, sobre el tiempo a dedicar a cada paciente, puedan existir en función del tipo de patología
Dada la ausencia de estudios anteriores que analicen estos valores, se realizó un estudio piloto previo para poder calcular el tamaño muestral necesario para que este trabajo tenga una validez estadística adecuada. Una vez calculadas las variables necesarias para la aplicación práctica de la fórmula propuesta, el resultado es que se podrían atender una media de 368 personas/año por fisioterapeuta.
Las diferencias observadas en la variable "tiempo total de tratamiento por usuario"no son estadísticamente significativas en función del sexo del usuario, pero sí que son significativas en función de la edad y en función del tipo de patología. Extracted data from annual reports published by the National Health Institute in the last 6 years, show that the coverage indicator of the Service “ Basic Physiotherapeutic Treatments” has been increased from 4,3 % (year 1995) to the 9,4 % (year 2000).In this increase had a fundamental importance the ratio of persons/year attended by physiotherapist, that has gone from 281 (year 1995) to 450 (year 2000) suffering an 60,1 % of increase.
The objectives of this research are:
1.
Analyze if a professional can assume this work load, offering adequate quality conditions of the service.
2.
Valuate the influence that could exercise demographic factors (sex and age) over the time to spend in any patient.
3.
Valuate the differences that could exist, over the time to spend in any patient, in function of pathology type.
Given the absence of previous studies that analyze these items, a previous pilot study was accomplished to calculate Artículo the necessary muestral size, for an adequate statistics validity of this work.
Once calculated the necessary variables for the practical application of the formulation proposed, the result is that, they could be attended an average of 368 persons/year by physiotherapist.
The differences observed in the variable " total treatment time by patient"haven not statistics meaning in function of the user sex, but that they are meaningful in function of age and in function of pathology type.
