Introducción: Las prácticas clínicas son un elemento fundamental en la formación de los estudiantes de enfermería pero a veces producen estrés. Saber qué situaciones son las que más generan este sentimiento a los estudiantes durante sus prácticas clínicas ayudará a mejorar su formación como futuros enfermeros.

Objetivos: Conocer qué situaciones les generan más estrés a los estudiantes de enfermería durante sus prácticas clínicas. Averiguar si esas situaciones son las mismas durante los tres cursos en los que se realizan las prácticas clínicas.

Material y métodos: Estudio observacional transversal descriptivo. Sujetos de estudio: Alumnos de segundo, tercer y cuarto curso de Grado de Enfermería de la Facultad Salus Infirmorum de Madrid durante el curso académico 2014-2015, seleccionados mediante muestreo de conveniencia. Se valoró la percepción del estrés mediante una modificación del cuestionario KEZKAK. Los datos han sido analizados mediante Excel 2007.

Resultados más significativos: De total de 158 estudiantes matriculados, la muestra de estudio fue 118 estudiantes. El 88% de ellos son mujeres y el 12% restante hombres. Las situaciones percibidas como más estresantes fueron: “Hacer mal mi trabajo y perjudicar al paciente” (71.19%), “Confundirme de medicación” (55.93%) y “Hacer daño psicológico al paciente” (38.98%). Hay situaciones comunes que coinciden en varios cursos de la carrera pero también existen diferencias entre las situaciones más estresantes entre ellos.

Conclusiones: Las situaciones que más estresan a los alumnos son aquellas que comprometen la seguridad del paciente. Algunas situaciones estresantes coinciden durante los tres cursos y otras varían a lo largo de la carrera, disminuyendo en el último curso.

Introduction: The clinical clerkship are a fundamental element in the in the training of nursing students but sometimes they generate psychological stress. Knowing what situation generate more psychological stress to the students during their clinical clerkship will help to improve their training as future nurses.
Aims: To discover what situations generate the greatest psychological stress in nursing students during their clinical clerkship. To ascertain if these situation remain the same throughout the three years in which the students carry out their clinical clerkship.
Material and method: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study. Subjects: second, third and fourth year students of the Grado in Nursing of the Faculty Salus Infirmorum of Madrid (Spain) during the academic year 2014-2015, selected through convenience sampling. The perception of physiological stress was evaluated using a modification of the KEZKAK questionnaire. The data have been analysed by Excel 2007.
Most significant results: From a total of 158 students, the study sample was taken from 118 students. 88% of whom were female and 12% were male. The situations perceived as being most stressful were: “Doing my job badly and harming the patient” (71.19%), “Making a medication error” (55.93%) and “Causing physiological harm to the patient” (38.98%).There are situations which are common to several years but there are also differences in the most stressful situations occurring over the three years.
Conclusions: The situations which cause the greatest stress in nursing students are those that jeopardise the patient´s safety. Certain stressful situations are repeated across the three years and others vary during the course, becoming fewer in the final year
