N2  - In order to know the magnitude and importance of the presence of insects and rodents in the hospital, and to evaluate the disinsection and rat extermination techniques that are currently applied, a study was carried out that collected the types of reservoirs and vectors, the most frequent places of appearance, and the factors that favor its presence. Also, the opinion of the staff on the performance of the contracted Disinsection and Deratization service. The preventive measures to be adopted are analyzed, and a series of norms tending to improve the cleaning, the storage of material, and the adequate maintenance of the facilities are elaborated.
