TY - SER TI - Control de calidad en diabetes mellitus no insulino-dependiente: estudio comparativo en dos centros de Atención Primaria SN - 0210-5020 N1 - Este artículo se encuentra disponible en su edición impresa; Bibliografía: (p. 31) N2 - Diabetes Mellitus is a health problem of great importance. To alleviate it, it is essential that the diabetic assume the main responsibility for their treatment with the help of the Primary Care team, especially the nursing staff. A comparative retrospective study of the items registered in the medical records of two Primary Care centers (Outpatient/Health Center) of patients diagnosed with NIDDM who attend the nursing offices of both health centers is presented. The stories have been chosen by simple random sampling without replacement. The calculation of the sample was carried out through the EPIINFO computer program with the following results: For Ambulatory: population size: 683; 95% confidence level; Sample size: 246 stories. For the Health Center: Population size: 224; 95% confidence level; The sample size of 141 stories is calculated. The design is based on R. Heather Palmer's quality assurance cycle, as well as Donabedian's classification in relation to the process, establishing quality criteria agreed with the nursing teams in both centers and used as comparison standards between what is recorded and what should be. From the results obtained, a significant global difference stands out between the Health Center and Outpatient Clinic and among the criteria of greatest interest the difference in the determination of glycosylated hemoglobin (19.1 Health Center/0.4 Outpatient Clinic) and in the evaluation of the notebook of self-analysis (33% Health Center/08% Ambulatory).
