N2  - In this paper the authors present a prospective study that analyzes the behavior of blood gas exchange in relation to percussion and postural drainage in 19 patients affected by obstructive pulmonary disease in the decompensation phase (acute chronic respiratory failure). In it, different responses of PaO2 and PaCO2 after PDP were verified, some of them being very significant and no relationship could be demonstrated between post-PDP sputum emission and an improvement or worsening of PaO2 and PaCO2
