In recent years, this group has been expanded with the description of new conditions, and also with far-reaching contributions on its epidemiology, causes, and production mechanisms. Tardive dyskinesias constitute one of these syndromes. Its importance is due to several reasons, highlighting its medicinal origin, the importance of preventive measures, where appropriate, and the risk they pose at later ages in life. The present work focuses on all these concepts, and focuses on the more detailed description of the tardive dyskinesia syndrome, not only because of its interest in itself, but also because it adequately illustrates the broad group of abnormal movements ER -
