It discusses the need for close collaboration between nurses and dietitians, since both professionals participate in restoring the patient's health through parallel and complementary pathways. Nursing is responsible for attending to all the needs of the patient and the dietician, specifically, of their nutrition. When hospitals have personnel specialized in dietetics, nursing is reinforced and relieved of food care at the same time. Likewise, mutual information on diets, medication and examinations that the patient must undergo can avoid interference and incompatibilities, with the evident improvement in the quality of care that the patient should always receive. Given that this is not the only role, it is the only role of dietitian-nutritionist, and taking advantage of the occasion to make known the breadth of tasks that are currently entrusted to dietetics professionals, we present a document that has recently been prepared by the Association of professionals PRO Spanish Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists and that may be of interest to many health professionals ER -
