N2  - This article discloses some of the most characteristic aspects of three species of very common venomous snakes in our country and specifically in Catalonia. The author has considered that correct information is the most effective method to avoid confusion about animals mythologized by various cultures, and about which fables, beliefs and unfortunate information have attributed an evil character, placing them at serious risk of extinction.
