N2  - We present a work carried out in Cerritos (Temascalcingo) in the State of Mexico. The large accumulation of garbage that this community presented, and its relationship with gastrointestinal infections that favor child malnutrition, gave rise to this study, with the aim of improving environmental hygiene. For this, an assessment of the existing garbage in the family environment was carried out and, later, a health education aimed at publicizing the negative influence of garbage and an incineration method. The results obtained in the evaluation, the difficulties encountered and the conclusions are presented in the work
