N2  - In order to assess the characteristics surrounding organ donation in our environment and its associated factors, a retrospective study was carried out on 75 potential donors during the years 1987, 1988 and 1989. The incidence of effective donation, the causes of rejection by family members and the characteristics and distribution of the extracted organs. In effective donors, data related to age, sex, pathology on admission, average stay in the ICU, monitoring data and associated complications were assessed.
With the data obtained, a nursing care protocol is prepared for the management of this type of patients
