N2  - In the previous article (1) we discussed the different types of studies that may be more useful for the epidemiological surveillance of nosocomial infections. In this we will focus on the data that must be collected, on its definition, and on the criteria for obtaining and processing it. Table 1 presents some definitions of terms (2-4) that have been used both in the previous article and in the present one
