N2  - In recent years we are witnessing a true <<revolution>> of health and disease. Little by little we are abandoning the traditional disease model and moving towards primary health care. Psychology, as a behavioral science, actively intervenes in health-related problems, from pain relief to the design and implementation of prevention programs. In this article, risk behaviors are reviewed from a psychological perspective, and the role played by different branches of psychology, clinical psychology, community psychology and health psychology, in the field of health is analyzed.
