The most consistent result was the high negative correlation between mortality due to coronary heart disease and meat intake. They also highlighted the negative correlations between intakes of total fat, olive oil, and milk with respect to mortality from coronary heart disease, which were not significant when data from the Canary Islands were excluded ER -
