N2  - A descriptive analysis is carried out on the determinations of total cholesterol in children from the basic health zone (ZBS) of Natahoyo, in Asturias. The results are discussed, stressing the importance of a correct and balanced diet that prevents cholesterol levels in children <<from skyrocketing>> and, finally, the author reflects on the key role played by the pediatric nurse in this field.
