N2  - Currently, infective endocarditis on prosthetic valves constitutes the group of infective endocarditis with the worst prognosis and the highest mortality, reaching more than 50% in recent years. Nursing plays an important role in avoiding one of the most serious complications for patients with prosthetic valves.
The general objective is the prophylaxis of bacterial endocarditis, proposing hospital hygienic barriers that guarantee patient safety, avoiding complications through health education, helping the patient and family members identify risks, and learn about prevention measures
