N2  - The objective of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of tobacco, alcohol, marijuana-hashish, heroin-cocaine habits in Nursing students. A self-reported survey was carried out in the three courses of the E.U.E. of Tortosa (n=218) 57.9% of the students of Tortosa (n=164) and Tarragona (n=218) participated in the study. 57.9% of the students of Tortosa and 60 participated in the study. % of Tarragona students. It was observed that tobacco and alcohol are the most consumed substances and the frequency of intake of the latter increases on weekends.
It is concluded that it is necessary to integrate an action program against drug addiction in the Nursing study plan and emphasize the exemplary role that Nursing plays in caring for the community where it should promote health education and health promotion programs. that encourage citizens to improve their quality of life
