Injuries involving radiation sources and radioactive reactions are rare. Nevertheless, they can be catastrophic for the patient
while simultaneously exposing the first responder to great risk.
This work will focus on radiation-related injuries as well as thermal burns produced by nuclear reactions. It will also address radiation injuries that may have burn injury characteristics.
