Los profesionales de la salud deberían conocer estos aspectos para poder ofrecer una adecuada atención a estas parejasSummary: Objective: Identify the clinical, ethical and legal aspects of IVF with reception of oocytes of the partner (ROPA). Method: Bibliographic searches of publications were carried out since 2009 in the CINAHL, Medline, Scopus and PsycINFO databases. A first initial search focused on «assisted reproduction techniques» and «homosexuality» as broad concepts. Subsequently, a second search focused on «lesbians» and «ROPA method» specifically. Results: 11 articles were included. Four thematic areas were identified: 1) search for the biological link shared in the motherhood of lesbian couples; 2) risks related to the treatment of IVF with ROPA; 3) ethical considerations and medical acceptability of said technique, and 4) current legal and legal framework in Spain for IVF with ROPA. Conclusions: The novelty of the IVF technique with ROPA is not in the components of the procedure but in the shared reproductive experience, in the medical risks that it can bring and in the ethical questions that it raises. Health professionals should know these aspects in order to offer adequate care to these couples.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Notes | Date due | Barcode |
