Han pasado más de treinta años desde que se realizó el primer trasplante. Desde entonces España ha evolucionado social, económica y políticamente. Nuestra sanidad también ha evolucionado de tal forma que hoy podemos recibir una asistencia del más alto nivel, como es en el trasplante de órganos. En este caso, no sólo podemos competir con países mucho más desarrollados que nosotros, sino que hemos conseguido mejores resultados que ellos, gracias a lo que se conoce en todo el mundo como el “Spanish Model”.<br/>España ha pasado de tener 14 donantes por millón de población (ppm) a 34,6 ppm, el índice más alto de donantes de órganos en el mundo. Esto no es una casualidad. Detrás de estos resultados hay una estructura organizativa que ha pasado a ser un referente mundial por su demostrada efectividad y que ha sido “reclamada” por numerosos países para exportar su modelo: la Organización Nacional de Trasplantes (ONT).<br/>Vamos a ir haciendo un recorrido por cada uno de los “pilares” de la ONT para poder entender el porqué de estos resultados y su evolución para mantener la tasa de donantes que hacen que cada año se salven o mejoren su calidad de vida más de 4000 personas en España<br/> |

Has been past thirty years since the first transplant was made. Since then, Spain has evolved, socially, politically and economically. Our health system, has evolved too, in a way that we can receive a high level of assistance, like the organs transplant. In this case, we cannot only compete with the most evolved countries but we have achieved best results than them, by what is known all over the world as “The Spanish Model”.<br/>Spain has turned from 14 donors per million of population to 35,4, the highest index of organ donors. That is not chance. Behind this results, there is an organizative structure that has grown from being a world’s reference because of its demostrate efectivity and has been “claimed” by many countries to expert its model: la National Transplant Organization (ONT).<br/>We will be doing a tour of each of the “pillars” of the ONT in orders understand the why of this results and its evolution to maintain the donors’ rate that make every year more than 4000 people in Spain save their lives or increase their life’s quality.<br/> |
