La esclerosis lateral amiotrofica (ELA) es una enfermedad degenerativa progresiva del sistema nervioso central, que constituye un problema importante de salud ya no tanto por su prevalencia si no por su gravedad 2. Un gran sufrimiento para pacientes y familias en el que se limita la esperanza de vida y la calidad de la misma. Hay una necesidad de cuidados permanentes y cambiantes.<br/>En este plan de cuidados se presentarán recomendaciones de manejo para la ELA. Incluyendo actuaciones enfermeras, médicas, farmacológicas, fisioterapéuticas y no olvidando los soportes de logopedas, psicólogos y de todo un gran grupo socio-sanitario volcado en el cuidado y la calidad de vida de estos pacientes.<br/>Para este plan de cuidados se han consultado planes ya existentes, artículos médicos en cuanto al soporte terapéutico y rehabilitador; dejando un apartado a la polémica eutanasia basándome en leyes y artículos publicados a lo largo de los años.<br/>En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, podríamos decir que un aporte y soporte en cuanto al cuidado del paciente y su familia, explicando los diferentes tipos de ayuda para el paciente y los problemas que pueden ir surgiendo con el avance de la enfermedad.<br/>En las fases terminales deben aceptarse las determinaciones previas del paciente y sus familiares, y permitir un deceso digno.<br/> |

Amyotrophy lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive degenerative disease of the central nervous system, which is a major health problem and not because of its prevalence if not its severity. Great suffering for patients and families in which limited life expectancy and quality of it. There is a need for permanent care and changing.<br/>In this care plan management recommendations will be presented for ALS. Performances including nurses, medical, pharmacological, physiotherapy and not forgetting supports therapists, psychologists and all a great group dump social health care and quality of life of these patients.<br/>For this care plan another plans were consulted existing medical articles regarding therapeutic and rehabilitative support, leaving a section of the controversial euthanasia based on laws and articles published over the years.<br/>As for the results, we could say that a contribution and support in the care of the patient and family, explaining the different types of support for the patient and the problems which may arise with disease progression.<br/>In the terminal stages previous determinations must accept the patient and family, and allow a death worthy.<br/> |
