Introducción: El síndrome de dolor regional complejo (CRPS) o Sudeck es un trastorno neurológico que implica las extremidades, caracterizándose por dolor incapacitante, inflamación, repercusiones vaso y sudomotoras y deterioro de la función motora. Encontramos implicados cambios en el procesamiento cortical y la organización, así como alteraciones de la percepción. <br/>Objetivo: Examinar, mediante una revisión sistemática bibliográfica, los diferentes abordajes fisioterápicos ante esta patología.<br/>Material y método: Revisión sistemática de la bibliografía publicada en las diferentes bases de datos (PubMed, Elsevier, ScienceDirect…) utilizando tanto ensayos clínicos, casos clínicos y otras revisiones sistemáticas.<br/>Resultados: Encontramos veintitrés referencias, de las cuales ocho son revisiones bibliográficas, tres casos clínicos y los doce ensayos clínicos en los que se recoge que, además de la fisioterapia convencional, hay nuevas corrientes de tratamiento, tales como la terapia espejo e imaginería gradual motora (GMI) con importantes resultados sobre el Sudeck.<br/>Conclusión: Terapia espejo y GMI obtienen buenos resultados en la mejoría de los pacientes con CRPS tipo I. No obstante, es necesaria más evidencia científica para poder responder, más minuciosamente, al mecanismo que produce este síndrome y al tratamiento elegido.<br/><br/> |

Introduction: Complex regional pain syndrome or Sudeck is a neurological disorder involving the limbs characterized by disabling pain, swelling, vasomotor and sudomotor instability and impairment of motor function. Changes involved in cortical processing and organization were found, as well as alterations of perception.<br/>Aim: To examine, through a systematic review, the different physiotherapy approaches to this pathology.<br/>Methods: Systematic review of the published literature in different databases (PubMed, Elsevier, ScienceDirect…) using clinical trials, case reports and other systematic reviews.<br/>Results: Twenty-three references were found, eight literature reviews, three clinical cases and twelve clinical trials collecting, in addition to conventional physiotherapy, there are new ways of treatment, such as mirror therapy or graded motor imagery (GMI), with significant results on Sudeck. <br/>Conclusion: Mirror Therapy and GMI obtained good results in the improvement of patients with CRPS type I. However, more scientific evidence is needed to respond more thoroughly, the mechanism that produces this syndrome and the treatment chosen.<br/> |
