| Summary, etc. | Introducción: la artrogriposis múltiple congénita (AMC) es una patología poco común y poco tratada en las salas de Fisioterapia infantil. Este estudio muestra el tratamiento fisioterapéutico aplicado y los resultados favorables obtenidos, con el objetivo de orientar en posteriores tratamientos fisioterapéuticos. Presentación del caso: se describe la patología y el caso clínico de la AMC en una niña con dos meses de edad remitida al Servicio de Rehabilitación del Hospital Torrecárdenas, siendo el primer caso conocido y tratado en Almería. Inicia tratamiento con limitación severa en flexión de hombro derecho, muñecas en flexión del carpo, reductibles a -45 º de extensión en movimiento pasivo y dedos en extensión difícilmente reductibles a la flexión. Resultados: en la actualidad, la paciente tiene una marcha totalmente independiente, manipula objetos con destreza y es autónoma en el cuidado personal. Está integrada en su familia, escuela y entorno social. Conclusiones: el éxito en el resultado del tratamiento se debe principalmente al inicio precoz de la Fisioterapia y a la aplicación de la hidroterapia al inicio del tratamiento. Las técnicas de fisioterapia aplicadas han permitido obtener como resultado una autonomía total de la paciente en las actividades básicas de la vida diaria (ABVD). |

| Summary, etc. | Introduction: congenital arthrogryposis multiplex (AMC) is a rare pathology and little treated in children's physiotherapy rooms. This study shows the physiotherapeutic treatment applied and the favorable results obtained, with the aim of guiding subsequent physiotherapeutic treatments. Presentation of the case: the pathology and clinical case of AMC in a two-month-old girl referred to the Torrecárdenas Hospital Rehabilitation Service are described, being the first case known and treated in Almería. He started treatment with severe limitation in flexion of the right shoulder, wrists in carpal flexion, reducible to -45º of extension in passive movement and fingers in extension hardly reducible to flexion. Results: Currently, the patient has a totally independent gait, manipulates objects with skill and is autonomous in personal care. She is integrated into her family, school and social environment. Conclusions: the success in the result of the treatment is mainly due to the early start of Physiotherapy and the application of hydrotherapy at the beginning of the treatment. The physiotherapy techniques applied have allowed to obtain as a result a total autonomy of the patient in the basic activities of daily life (ABVD). |
