Summary, etc.
|

Summary, etc. | The presence of bacteria in the urinary tract is very common in women, 10-15% higher than in men [1,2]. This bacteriuria, which under normal circumstances is not treated if there are no symptoms, becomes more important when the woman is pregnant. Due to the anatomical and functional changes that pregnancy induces in the female body, this pathology leads to a considerable increase in maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality [1-5].
It is necessary, therefore, to know the predisposing factors and the risks that they cause in pregnancy in order to prevent them.
The purpose of this article is to deepen the knowledge of these factors and risks. |
