Las fracturas del tercio proximal del fémur presentan una gran incidencia, especialmente entre la franja de población de mayores de 65 años. Ello, junto a las serias repercusiones en la vida de todos aquellos que la padecen, justifica que enfermería protocolice su atención y los cuidados que presta en unos planes de cuidados específicos. Las autoras abordan este tema en un artículo que se ha dividido en dos partes: la presente, relativa al periodo del preoperatorio, y una posterior que se dedicará a los cuidados en el postoperatorio. |
