Summary, etc. |
520 8# - SUMMARY, ETC. |
Summary, etc. |
Most medications for intravenous use require preparation prior to administration. Pharmaceutical preparations that are presented reconstituted and diluted in volume, commonly known as "ready to use", limit the risk of intravenous therapy, since they avoid possible accidental contamination and prevent the administration of incorrect mixtures. Some of the characteristics of this type of medication are described, and depending on their composition and presentation, aspects related to their preparation and administration are reviewed. |
