| Summary, etc. | Este estudio se realizó para analizar la calidad de vida y necesidades de las personas ostomizadas y sus cuidadores.<br/>Se incluyeron 390 pacientes y 377 cuidadores, de los cuales la mayoría asistía a consultas especializadas. Se analizaron sus limitaciones en las actividades cotidianas, sus necesidades no cubiertas así como la ayuda prestada por el profesional experto. Los resultados reflejan que la ostomía incide particularmente en las actividades relacionadas con la movilidad así como en la vida del familiar o cuidador principal especialmente en cuanto a sus actividades de ocio o pasatiempos. Se detecta un alto grado de satisfacción con la información recibida aunque no obstante existen algunos temas donde cabe mejorarla. Asimismo se revela como muy eficaz la ayuda prestada por el profesional experto. |

| Summary, etc. | This study was conducted to analyze the quality of life and needs of ostomized people and their caregivers.<br/>390 patients and 377 caregivers were included, of which the majority attended specialized consultations. Their limitations in daily activities, their unmet needs as well as the help provided by the expert professional were analyzed. The results reflect that the ostomy particularly affects activities related to mobility as well as the life of the family member or main caregiver, especially in terms of their leisure activities or hobbies. A high degree of satisfaction with the information received is detected, although there are nevertheless some issues where it can be improved. Likewise, the help provided by the expert professional is revealed as very effective. |
