| Summary, etc. | Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo para conocer el número y características de la usuaria que demanda intercepción postcoital en el Hospital Severo Ochoa de Leganés. Valoramos la edad y su lugar de procedencia y el día de la semana en que acuden; también el número de mujeres que repitieron su demanda en este periodo. Contrastamos esta información con las interrupciones voluntarias del embarazo (IVEs) realizadas en este hospital para acercarnos a la valoración de la eficacia del método. Se plantea si la intercepción postcoital es realmente una urgencia ginecológica o podría ofrecerse en Atención Primaria o incluso, como otros trabajos sugieren, sin prescripción médica. |

| Summary, etc. | Retrospective descriptive study to know the number and characteristics of the user who demands postcoital interception at the Severo Ochoa Hospital in Leganés. We value their age and their place of origin and the day of the week they attend; also the number of women who repeated their demand in this period. We contrast this information with the voluntary interruptions of pregnancy (IVEs) carried out in this hospital to get closer to assessing the effectiveness of the method. The question is whether postcoital interception is really a gynecological emergency or could be offered in Primary Care or even, as other studies suggest, without a prescription. |
