Este ensayo presenta una breve reflexión acerca del concepto de salud desde la perspectiva de Jean Watson. Para abordar este tema se ha tomado como referencia a Watson, una de las teóricas de la Enfermería más importante de nuestros días, porque ha sabido captar a la perfección cómo se percibe la salud en el mundo contemporáneo. En este sentido, se debe situar el concepto de salud en el paradigma de la transformación. Desde este paradigma se aprecia una perspectiva fenomenológica. Dicha<br/>percepción se fundamenta en la relación transpersonal que se establece entre la persona que cuida y el ser cuidado, esencial para la sanación. A través de ella, la enfermera ayuda al paciente a alcanzar una mayor armonía entre la mente, el cuerpo y el alma. |

This assay depicts a brief reflexion regarding the concept of health from Jean Watson’s perspective. In order to approach the subject we have taken Watson as reference, one of the most important nursing theorist of our time because she has been able to beautifully capture how health is perceived in the contemporary world. In this sense, the concept of health has to be framed within the paradigm of transformation. This paradigm shows a phenomenological perspective. Such perception is based on the transpersonal relationship that is established between the person who provides care and the person who received the care, which is essential for healing.<br/>Through this relationship, the nurse helps the patient to reach greater harmony between mind, body and soul. |
