520 8# - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Surgery of the anterior cruciate ligament has been a challenge for surgeons from the beginning of the 20th century. It is currently one of the most common procedures, though many aspects remain to be defined. However, since it is arthroscopic, patient recovery and long-term results has been much improved. A historical review shows that many authors have participated in its development, though some have fallen into oblivion. Knowing the steps and the options of the different schools can help us better understand what is being done today
