Summary, etc.
520 8# - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The application of the arthroscopic technique for hip pathology has been very recent regarding its use in other joints. After the first studies at the beginning of the 20th century, it was not until the 80s when the first surgical technical indications were described. The objective is the visualization of the interior of the joint and in some cases at an extra-articular level without the need for a comprehensive approach with the associated complications.
Taking into account that it is a mini-invasive technique, we managed to reduce post-operative complications and the care after the intervention is simpler. It has great advantages over open surgery such as minor bleeding, less aggression at the soft tissue level and an early functional recovery of the patient.
