| Summary, etc. | Las fracturas de fémur constituyen uno de los problemas más comunes y graves que afectan al paciente anciano, con una prevalencia del 13 al 25% en mayores de 65 años; 31 al 35% en mayores de 85 años y aumentando hasta el 50% en pacientes institucionalizados.<br/>Provoca graves consecuencias como la pérdida de funcionalidad, el aumento de la morbilidad, la institucionalización y la mortalidad, siendo todo ello un riesgo añadido a la aparición de úlceras por presión (UPP).<br/>Hemos demostrado que la incidencia de UPP en pacientes con fracturas de fémur en nuestro centro hospitalario (FHAG) es inferior al indicador establecido por el CAT SALUT (1,9% en UPP de estadio II-III). Confirmando que la aplicación correcta de la aplicación de nuestro protocolo de prevención de UPP es fundamental para conseguir el objetivo. |

| Summary, etc. | Femoral fractures are one of the most common and serious problems affecting the elderly patient, with a prevalence of 13 to 25% in people over 65 years of age; 31 to 35% in people over 85 years and increasing up to 50% in institutionalized patients.<br/>It causes serious consequences such as loss of functionality, increased morbidity, institutionalization and mortality, all of which is an added risk to the appearance of pressure ulcers (UPP).<br/>We have shown that the incidence of UPP in patients with femoral fractures in our hospital (FHAG) is lower than the indicator established by the CAT SALUT (1.9% in stage II-III UPP). Confirming that the correct application of the application of our UPP prevention protocol is essential to achieve the objective. |
