| Summary, etc. | El objetivo de este estudio fue la utilización de la electroestimulación y biofeedback electromiográfico del vasto interno en el tratamiento conservador de la luxación recidivante de rótula en una mujer de 22 años. Un análisis de la varianza de una vía mostró un aumento significativo de los valores electromiográficos de pico integrados del vasto interno (p<0,001) a lo largo del tratamiento. El estudio radiográfico evidenció un mejor equilibrio de la rótula con electroestimulación que con biofeedback. Ambas técnicas, aplicadas secuencialmente y selectivamente al vasto interno parecen estar indicadas en esta patología. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this study was the use of electro-stimulation and electromyographic biofeedback of the internal vastus in the conservative treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation in a 22-year-old woman. An analysis of one-way variance showed a significant increase in the integrated electromyographic peak values of the vastus medialis (p <0.001) throughout the treatment. The radiographic study showed a better balance of the patella with electrostimulation than with biofeedback. Both techniques, applied sequentially and selectively to the vast internal one, seem to be indicated in this pathology. |
