| Summary, etc. | El masaje infantil es una técnica que ha ido ganando cada vez más adeptos en los últimos años en diversos países industrializados. Sin embargo, es una señal de cariño que viene siendo utilizada por padres de muchas culturas diferentes durante siglos. En la India, el masaje infantil es una tradición que pasa de padres a hijos y las madres entrenan a sus hijas para aplicar el masaje a los futuros bebés, se trata de la técnica mundialmente conocida denominada Shantala. Es posible que el mejor regalo que pueda hacer un padre a su hijo es proporcionarle un clima de amor, estímulo y calidez. Un ambiente de este tipo aumentará la confianza del niño en sí mismo y producirá alegría sin necesidad de innecesarias tensiones corporales. El contacto que produce el masaje infantil llega a tener un gran valor no sólo en el desarrollo de una personalidad positiva, sino en la práctica temprana del control de estrés en los niños, estimulando el desarrollo sensoriopsicomotor y mejorando el tono muscular. |
