Son muchas las pacientes que necesitan someterse a cirugía para corregir problemas de incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo (I.U.E.), y muchas las técnicas quirúrgicas que hasta el momento se han empleado para intentar solucionar este grave problema que afecta a la calidad de vida de la mujer. Como los propios uró logos y ginecólogos reconocen este es un indicador claro de que ninguna de estas técnicas es plenamente satisfactoria aunque en muchas ocasiones es necesario pasar por el quiróano.<br/><br/>La fisioterapia de suelo pélvico es un complemento posible y muy probablemente eficaz para mejorar los resultados a medio y largo plazo de las intervenciones quirúrgicas por I.U.E. Serímuy positivo para las pacientes afectadas por este problema que se crearan unidades de trabajo compuestas por todos los profesionales que puedan contribuir al diagnóstico y tratamiento de la I.U.E. y otros problemas relacionados con el suelo pélvico: urólogos, ginecólogos, coloproctólogos, fisioterapeutas matronas, etc. para conseguir así la mejor atención sanitaria posible y los mejores resultados. |

Many patients need to be put under surgery to correct problems related to stress urinary incontinence, and there are many surgical techniques which have been used to resolve these hard problems until the moment, problems which affect the woman's quality of life. Many urologists and gynaecologists recognize themselves that this problem is an excellent indicator that any of these surgical techniques are satisfactory at all, although many times surgical intervention is necessary.<br/><br/>The physical therapy for the pelvic floor is able to complement effectively the surgical techniques to improve the results in the stress urinary incontinence in the medium and long term. The creation of net works composed by all the professionals related to the diagnosis and treatment of stress urinary incontinence and other problems of the pelvic floor (urologists, gynaecologists, coloproctologists, physiotherapists, nurses), would be very positive to the patient affective by those problems in order to recive the best sanitary attention and the best results. |
