El fisioterapeuta egresa de la universidad con competencias para desarrollarse en el ámbito asistencial, docente, de investigación y administración. Sin embargo, en ocasiones está limitado y en otras anulado, ya que no explora, no evalúa, no diagnostica y no emite un tratamiento. El objetivo principal es comunicar la discrepancia entre las competencias laborales del fisioterapeuta y los perfiles de egreso de las universidades que imparten la licenciatura en fisioterapia. Al respecto, el fisioterapeuta necesita cumplir con el perfil de egreso universitario para su desarrollo profesional en aras de un mejor tratamiento al paciente. Entre julio de 2010 y diciembre de 2010 se buscaron por Internet universidades mexicanas que ofertan la licenciatura en fisioterapia, así como el manual de procedimientos del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social con representación en todo el país. Se concluyó que este manual no coincide con las acciones del fisioterapeuta marcadas en su perfil de egreso universitario. |

The physiotherapist graduates from the university with skills to work in the care, teaching, research and administration setting. However, this is sometimes limited and in other suppressed, because the physiotherapist does not examine, evaluate, diagnosis or decide a treatment. The main objective is to communicate the discrepancy between the physiotherapist's job skills and the profiles of the graduates of the universities that offer the bachelor studies in Physiotherapy. In this regard, the physiotherapist needs to meet the university graduate profile in order to perform professionally and to offer better treatment to the patient. From July 2010 to December 2010, Mexican universities that offer Bachelor studies in Physiotherapy and the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social Manual of Procedures were searched for in internet. It was concluded that this manual does not coincide with the actions of the physiotherapist established in the university graduate profile. |
