| Summary, etc. | Este trabajo trata de diseñar una secuencia de enseñanza-aprendizaje (SEA) que ofrezca a los estudiantes la oportunidad de adquirir los conocimientos necesarios para cuidar de un paciente con esquizofrenia. Para ello, se ha optado por una estrategia de enseñanza activa, utilizando como soporte principal el caso clínico de la película comercial Una mente maravillosa.<br/><br/>La implementación se produjo durante el curso 2012-13, dentro de la asignatura Enfermería psiquiátrica y Salud Mental, de 3º año de Grado de Enfermería en la Universidad del País Vasco.<br/><br/>Los resultados indican que la película Una mente maravillosa es una herramienta satisfactoria para la adquisición de las competencias planteadas, además de ser un método de aprendizaje muy bien aceptado por los alumnos. Al finalizar el proceso, el 100% de los participantes afirma que repetiría la metodología. La experiencia planteada debe servir de incentivo para seguir profundizando en las posibilidades que ofrecen los métodos activos. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper is intended to design a Teaching-Learning Sequence (TLS) to offer students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge required to provide care to a patient with schizophrenia. To this end, an active teaching approach has been chosen, using as primary support the clinical case in the commercial film “A Beautiful Mind”. <br/>This was implemented during the 2012-13 term, within the subject “Psychiatric Nursing and Mental Health”, in the 3rd year of the Nursing Degree, at the Universidad del País Vasco.<br/>Results show that the film “A Beautiful Mind” is a satisfactory tool for acquiring the above mentioned abilities, and at the same time it is <br/>a learning method very well accepted by students. When the process was completed, 100% of participants claimed that they would repeat <br/>the methodology. The experience obtained must be used as an incentive <br/>to continue studying in depth those possibilities offered by active methods. |
